Design by Hannes Wettstein, Switzerland (1958 - 2008)
Hannes Wettstein counts (born 1958 in Ascona, Switzerland) to the most innovative and successful designers in Switzerland. Among the works that have made him known products include furniture like the chair "Juliette" for Baleri, the sofa "Globe" for Cassina and developing the world's first low-volt cable system for the Swiss company Belux. In addition to his work in his own company Hannes Wettstein was a lecturer at ETH Zurich, among others, and from 1994 to 2001 as a professor at the College of Design in Karslruhe worked. Hannes Wettstein died after a long illness in 2008.
